Valerie
is a Solihull based artist who gained a BA in Fine Art
at Reading University and worked as an art teacher in
Secondary and Adult Education for many years. She is a
member of the Birmingham Art Circle, Solihull Artists
Forum and Leamington Studio Artists.
'My work is landscape based,
but I like subjects that convey a sense of transience
or transition. These include the marginal landscapes
of urban 'edgelands', the effects of time on man's environment
and the natural cycle of growth, decay and renewal.
My preferred media are oil, charcoal, pastel and mono-prints'.
