Rachel Gogerly is one of the
country's leading Designer Makers of fine enamel work
on precious metals, combining contemporary design with
the classic techniques of champlevé, basse taille
and guilloché. The Collection includes jewellery
ranges for both men and women and a range of small work
for all occasions. Commission work is also undertaken.
Producing her own work for over twenty years, Rachel
completed her BA in Jewellery Design at Middlesex University
in 1986 and was then selected for a Graduate Enterprise
Business Course at Stirling University before she set
up her own business later that year.
Rachel
has won various awards throughout her career, most recently,
the Silver Prize for Enamel at the Goldsmiths' Council
Craftsmanship and Design Awards in 2007. In 2002 Rachel
became a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths'
and is the current Chairman of The Guild of Enamellers.
Between 2001- 2008 Rachel was Chairman of SAF and has
also been on the Board of Advisors for Yorkshire and Humberside
Arts. Rachel is a member of the British Society Of Enamellers
and is regularly invited to give Master Classes on her
specialist knowledge of fine enamelling.
Rachel
shows her work across the UK selling through fairs and
galleries and has shown her work at the prestigious Goldsmiths'
Fair in London for over fourteen years receiving many
commissions, including Liberty of London, The Lord Mayor
of York, BPW UK Ltd and in 2005 a piece of her work was
added to The Goldsmiths' Company Permanent Collection.
