| Our world is one
in which people are obsessed with bodies both living and
dead. Jewellery reflects the human body; it possesses
something of the physical, only reaching its full potential
when touched. By challenging traditional ideas my work
explores the limits of jewellery making, and challenges
it's site and utility.
Jewellery offers me the scope
to work with a wide range of materials and I am always
interested in new products, methods of working and opportunities.
I am an associate member of the RBSA along with the
Association of Contemporary Jewellers and Embroiderers
Guild.
Since graduating with first class
honours in Contemporary Craft at Coventry University
I have exhibited in London, Birmingham, Coventry and
Solihull and have work in private collections.
With a PGCE and membership of
the IfL I teach part time in a variety of community
settings and with different ability levels for Warwick
University and Solihull College. I am currently working
in collaboration with Solihull Library and Arts Complex
to develop a group of young Solihull artists through
the Silver Arts Award scheme.
