Frances is Birmingham born and worked as a teacher there for many years. She works mainly in oil and her subjects are usually faces and hands. She has exhibited in and around Birmingham since her BA at Solihull College and PGD at Coventry University and has sold work through exhibitions and through commercial galleries

In 2007 Frances was accepted as an associate member of the Royal Birmingham Society for Artists
